Fiber Laser

The use of fiber laser sources for cutting metals has created an exciting new frontier expanding the application of laser cutting to materials (and their related application fields) that previously were impossible to process by laser technology.  

The significant reduction in power consumptions, thanks to the high efficiency of the source, the superior cutting speeds for certain metals, the reduced service and maintenance costs  because of the simplified optic path, plus the capability to cut highly-reflective materials such as brass, copper and aluminium, makes this technology particularly attractive interesting and convenient for certain defined applications.

To take advantage of these benefits BLM GROUP has been involved in this very extensive and challenging research programme in fiber laser technology, resulting in the development of the following new products that both enhance and complement our existing laser cutting range equipped with CO2 lasers.


LT fiber is part of Lasertube family specifically designed and developed for cutting tubes with fiber laser sources.
Naturally the LT fiber incorporates all the fundamental characteristics and benefits associated with the Lasertube range.

LT Fiber is normally fitted with a 2Kw laser, which will cut the wall thickness indicated in the following table:

LT Combo fiber is a new version of the combined system for  laser cutting of tube and sheet, developed to work with a 3Kw fibre laser source.
The flexibility of the LT Combo system is further increased by the possibility of processing highly-reflective materials such as copper, brass and aluminium.
Also with other traditional materials, such as mild steel and stainless steel, we have achieved excellent results when processing sheet.

Particularly significant is the costs reduction resulting from the cutting speed increase, added to the reduced power consumption of the new source.
